The Y83-160 metal baler is a 160 ton hydraulic scrap press designed to compress loose ferrous and non-ferrous metal into dense, transport-ready bales. With 1600 kN nominal force, a 1600 × 1000 × 800 mm compression chamber and an estimated processing capacity of 2–3 tons per hour, it offers a practical balance between output, machine footprint and installed power for small and medium recycling operations.
This hydraulic metal baler can produce either 350 × 350 mm or 400 × 400 mm square-section bales, with an adjustable bale length of approximately 400–600 mm. A bale density above 1800 kg/m³ helps scrap yards reduce storage volume, improve truck and container loading efficiency, and prepare consistent feedstock for steel mills, foundries and other downstream metal processors.
The standard machine uses manual hydraulic valve control and turn-out bale discharge. PLC semi-automatic control, remote operation, feeding conveyors, oil cooling systems and customized electrical configurations can be supplied according to the buyer’s operating requirements.
