Limited space requiring higher-density metal bales
High labor costs, requiring stable and easy-to-operate equipment
Strict environmental regulations regarding hydraulic systems and noise
High electricity prices, making energy consumption an important factor
To address these needs, we supplied a Y83-200 metal baler to a Spanish recycling company. The machine significantly improved their production efficiency and operating costs.
Project Background
The customer mainly processes light scrap, automotive dismantling parts, and mixed steel scrap. Their old baler had slow operation and insufficient bale density, which increased storage and transport costs. They were looking for equipment that offered:
Higher bale density
Stable continuous operation
Compatibility with 380V three-phase power
Low maintenance and long lifespan
Based on their situation, we recommended the Y83-200 metal baler.
Key Technical Specifications
Nominal force: 2000 kN
Feeding box size: 1800 × 1400 × 900 mm
Bale size: 400 × 400 mm
Motor power: 22 kW × 2
Operation: button control or remote control
Suitable materials: light scrap, stamping waste, home appliance shells, auto dismantling scrap
The 400×400 mm high-density bales allow the customer to load more scrap per trip, saving monthly transport costs.
The 22kW × 2 power configuration ensures smooth movements and good temperature control during long-term working hours.
The machine has a balanced energy-performance ratio, helping the customer lower daily operating expenses.
Button/remote operation allows fast training and fewer operator errors.
Final Results
After adopting the Y83-200 baler, the Spanish customer achieved:
Higher loading capacity
Lower transport costs
More stable daily output
Improved working efficiency
Customer’s comment: “The machine offers excellent value, and bale density is better than expected. We plan to purchase another unit next year.”
